Klaipeda FEZ Dakar team conquering Peru deserts this year

Klaipeda Free Economic Zone (FEZ) is proud to be participating in the annual Dakar Rally through its support of Vaidotas Žala’s and Saulius Jurgelėnas’ racing team “Agrorodeo”.

This year the Dakar Rally is turning a new page and has started extremely complex and „sandy“ race in its history  – the route only runs in Peru terrain and includes mostly deserts and dunes.

New dynamics and challenges of the race did not frighten ambitious racers – they are back on track and make maximum efforts to overcome the most challenging racing stages.

“We are proud to contribute to a such talented racers who successfully represent Lithuania in the most challenging rally in the world, where success is guaranteed by a set of extremely strong qualities: speed, strategic and critical thinking, team confidence and courage. We support racers because of the close link between their team and our organizational values: we appreciate this as an excellent example of professionalism, the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment and achieve desired goals. We are working on this approach in pursuit of the strategic goals of Klaipėda FEZ. Therefore, we hope that Vaidotas and Saulius tandem will become a great inspiration for all of us”, – says Eimantas Kiudulas, Head of Klaipeda FEZ.

As of January 10, V. Žala and S. Jurgelėnas’ team takes second position among Lithuanian racers and are currently holding a solid 18th position in the race.
