The Klaipeda FEZ is ranked among the world’s five leading economic zones according to the application of digital marketing

In 2012, the Klaipeda Free Economic Zone (FEZ) was evaluated by “Digital Marketing Awards 2012”, the world’s awards for the digital marketing. The Klaipeda FEZ was recognized to be one of the world’s five most effective economic zones according to the application of digital marketing.

The awards for digital marketing in direct foreign investment (“Digital Marketing Awards 2012”) were organised by FDI Magazine, a subsidiary magazine of the Financial Times, which also compiled the world’s rating for this activity. These are the first awards of such kind intended to evaluate achievements in the field of digital marketing of companies and organizations engaged in activities that are related to searching for direct foreign investment and attracting it. The awards committee consisted of the representatives of the leading business magazines, such as the “Financial Times”, “FDI Intelligence” and “FDI Magazine”, as well as the representatives of international investment companies, i.e. “IBT Partners”, “OCO Global”, “Econsultancy” and “GIS Planning”.

Investment and economic development companies and agencies, as well as other companies and institutions engaged in the attraction of investment, were invited to participate in the qualification stage of the Awards. The Klaipeda Free Economic Zone Management Company received such an invitation as well.

It shows that the most advanced and innovative marketing instruments are applied in our country. It also demonstrates that the most advanced services are rendered by the Klaipeda FEZ. By applying these digital marketing instruments, we aim to provide potential investors with great opportunities for promptly obtaining all the necessary information on the business environment, conditions in Lithuania and the Klaipeda FEZ. Investors appreciate being able to quickly find all the necessary information at the place where they are searching for it, and at a time when they need it the most. This enables our clients to make the most optimal business decisions”, said Eimantas Kiudulas, General Director of the Klaipeda Free Economic Zone Management Company.

The application of digital marketing by the companies that were ranked was evaluated in a number of different categories: the best digital marketing of the country, region, city and free economic zones. In the latter category, the Klaipeda FEZ was ranked among the world’s five leading economic zones in applying digital marketing in their activities.

Twice, in 2007 and 2012, one of the Klaipeda FEZ’s digital marketing instruments – the website – gained recognition in the annual “World Free Zone Convention”, where it took the premier place for the best visual impact, the quality of the content and the usage benefits.
