The New Chairman of the FEZ Investors Advisory Board elected

28 Apr 2023

Ramūnas Barcevičius, the Managing Director of Albright Lietuva, a manufacturer of electromagnetic switches and switchgear, has become the Chairman of the Investors Advisory Board of the Klaipėda FEZ for the term of 2023-24. He succeeds Algimantas Bluškis, who chaired the Board in 2021-22.

The Advisory Board brings together more than 45 companies with Klaipėda FEZ investor status and makes proposals to the FEZ management company on infrastructure, environmental and social aspects, services and other issues.

According to R. Barcevičius, like most of the businesses in the Western world, the Klaipėda FEZ business community is feeling a certain slowdown in its activities, but he believes that the challenges will be overcome, and an even stronger, more efficient and competence-based foundation will be created for the future.

“Of course, life goes on. In the Advisory Board we are currently focusing on the parking of heavy vehicles in the FEZ area, the Lypkių Street intersection and other infrastructure issues. The Klaipėda FEZ management company is really open and constructive, the investors communicate and cooperate on various issues on a regular basis, but I am glad that the Advisory Board has become another platform for discussions and decisions, which makes the activities in the FEZ even smoother for everyone,” says R. Barcevičius.

According to Eimantas Kiudulas, the CEO Klaipėda FEZ, the Advisory Boardl is an important part of the FEZ business community, helping to improve the customer experience, exchange information, carry out joint projects, and improve operational cost efficiency.

“I am pleased that this initiative has been a great success. Our goal is to have happy customers whose growth and experience speak for us. We thank Mr. Barcevičius for the responsibility he has taken on and wish him success in his work, both on the Advisory Board and in his day-to-day business”, says Mr Kiudulas.

The Klaipėda FEZ has a total of about 100 businesses, and more than 45 companies from 18 countries around the world have an investor status. More than 5000 people work in the Klaipėda FEZ, which covers more than 400 ha. In 2021, the total turnover of Klaipėda FEZ investors exceeded EUR 1.2 billion.
