Klaipėda FEZ companies reaping laurels

Winners of the Lithuanian Product of the Year 2011 Elected

82 enterprises representing 15 business areas of the country were nominated for awards in the contest Lithuanian Product of the Year 2011 which is deemed the principal evaluation of companies in the national business community. The two-tier committee comprised of experts and representing various industry and business branches, having summed up expert conclusions, made decision to award 83 gold and 15 silver medals for selected products and services offered by companies.

On 16 December, Irena Degutienė, Chairman of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, gave awards to chief executives of companies within the framework of the contest Lithuanian Product of the Year 2011 in the national parliament. Orion Global pet UAB, the company operating in the Klaipeda FEZ, has appeared among the nominees in a row of years. The company was awarded a gold medal for the product Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) RAMAPET R1L in the chemical industry group.

“Successfully Operating Company 2011”

The Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists honoured persons who merited the national business and governance in the Christmas and New Year gala event which took place in the Lithuanian National Philharmonic building on the 16th of December. Awards were given to the leaders of the national business in nominations “Petras Vileišis”, Innovation Prize” and “Successfully Operating Company”.

Pack Klaipėda UAB, operating in the Klaipeda FEZ, was awarded in the nomination “Successfully Operating Company 2011” in the group of medium-sized companies. Awardees in this nomination were evaluated according to the production and service value (annual income), profitability, investment in production, export volume (production or services rendered outside Lithuania), performance figures and other additional criteria.

“Solid Step into Export Markets”

RETAL Baltic was awarded in the nomination “Solid Step into Export Markets” in the framework of annual event “Outstanding Achievements in Business Award” which was held by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania on the 12th December of this year. The company was honoured for successfully implemented export strategy, fast increase in production volumes (73 percent increase) and turnover (93 percent increase) in 2010.
